The brief of the project was to create a mini magazine of a topic of our choosing and design
a letterhead and a consistent layout language.
We were to use found images and edit them
to make them original.
"Dames and Delinquents" is about women
in streetwear. I chose this topic because I enjoy fashion and streetwear and every magazine
or print surrounding the topic was dominated
by men. It's slowly changing, but I wanted a magazine that highlighted women's contributions. The name "Dames and Delinquents" came out
of the old fashioned idea that women who
wore streetwear or dressed "like men" were delinquents/rebels.
